| "It's not a real mall!" |

December 2006 - Don't let the ads fool you! Revelstoke is a very small town that wants to be a big town. Alpine Mall is a tiny strip mall that most city slickers laugh at. No bank operates at the "mall" but the best shoe store in BC, Universal Footwear, does.
I wish Revelstoke would just allow itself to be what it is - a semi cultured redneck village. What the stupid city council and recently-moved-here-from-out-of-town developers want is New Whistler. It would be a deep loss to BC if this little paradise was turned into a disgusting city. If you want to live in a city and have a beautiful, high elevation ski area with tons of terrain and excellent condtions - you should move to Vernon and ski at Silver Star. One year of sloppy snow every three years does not a ski town make.
