July 2007 - My family and I spent one night at the Revelstoke Lodge on our way out to the Okanagan for a quick summer vacation. I am generally not a fan of staying at motels but thought I would give this one a try as we had heard good things. The rooms had recently been renovated and were adequate for our needs. For people travelling with kids it is worth noting that the bathroom does not have a tub for bedtime baths, there is a shower stall only. The best part about this property is that it is located close to downtown unlike the larger chain hotels which are just off the highway. The outdoor pool and hot tub did not look very appealing but luckily they also included a free pass to the aquatic centre in town which is worth visiting.

February 2006 - This establishment looks like your average motel from the outside, but inside, the rooms are actually very nice! They have fancy furnishings and nice bedding - good thing because the heat in our room didn't work and as it was february, we needed warm bedding! If it weren't for the lack of heat in our room, I would have really enjoyed my stay here. The one staff member we saw was very nice but seemed to have no clue how to handle the thermostat problem in our room and tried to tell us it was fixed (we didn't get back to our room until midnight so we didn't know that it actually hadn't been fixed). The motel has a convenient location, fairly close to restaurants. Guests are given a pass to the pool and rec centre, which is about 6 or 7 blocks away. We didn't get a chance to go, unfortunately.
