July 2007 - The idea of wireless internet access and camping for me is a little weird. In fact the idea of camping from a car is unusual, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place to park and sleep! It was mid July and we drove into Revelstoke without a reservation, some would say crazy but we found a site that was flat and grass covered, therefore relatively soft. The campsite was close to full but this was not a negative, we felt like we had our own space as the trees dotted around the site created a degree of separation between each site.
The site provided good facilities. We didn’t make use of most, only the clean and well maintained washrooms, which had coin operated showers, and the free wireless internet, which was available in our tent! There seemed to be good facilities, including games for families like horseshoes and volleyball. For us the location was great too as we were within a 15-minute walk of the downtown block. We walked the bridge over the Columbia river and through the town, so we had a chance to take in the ambience of Revelstoke. This campground is a great place to stay in a beautiful location.
