April 2007 - the restaurant located in the motel has the only smoking section in Hope, but for some reason, there are never ashtrays on the tables. The waitress/owner had come to our table twice without bringing an ashtray even though she saw we were smoking, so we discreetly used a saucer. When she returned, she slammed the coffees on the table,spilling them and started yelling at us saying we were disrespectful?! Disrespectful would have been maybe, using the floor? Anyway we walked out and won't be returning..it's too bad her rudeness won't get her fired because she owns the place!!
