"Dont Go Here. Please"
by Emily (from Calgary) May 2007 - This place is horrible i tell you! I went to the Skoah in Chinook Center and 2 weeks after my facial, i broke out in boils oozing puss. I had to go to a dermotologist and get special ointment and laser treatment i went back to the place to complain, and they wouldnt even talk to me because of teh scars of my face from the lasers, and then they recomended that i should come in to "Help get rid of my nasty scars" Im not satisfied.

"Best. Facial. EVER!"
by Lauren (from Calgary) January 2007 - I read about the Skoah spas in Vancouver in an Air Canada e-zine and thought their products and services sounded interesting. So when I saw that the company had opened a location at Chinook Centre I decided I'd give their Facialiscious facial a try. I ended up having one of the most relaxing experiences of my life!
After filling out a quick questionnaire regarding any allergies and skin concerns, I was given a bottle of water and a complimentary tube of their Lip Love lip balm. The room where I got the facial was quiet with the exception of some cool chill-out tunes. None of the typical Enya/Ocean Waves/Nature Sounds music at this spa! I got to lie in a comfy, heated massage/facial bed that was covered in a huge duvet. Things were luxurious before the facial even started!
From what I remember (I was pretty mellowed-out at this point) the facial consisted of a cleansing, a light scrub, gentle extractions and three masks. With the first mask, I got a full lower leg and foot massage, with the second there was an arm and hand massage and the third came with a shoulder and face massage. After the last mask came off, they apply a moisture-boosting serum, followed by their lush Eye Kandy eye cream, the ultra-moisturizing Dewlux Face Kream and their Lip Dip. All of the products smelled great... light and fresh, not too perfumey. At this point I thought the experience was over, but I got a very soothing head massage as well! By the time everything was finished I was totally relaxed, mellow and happy. And according to friends, my skin was glowing!
The staff at Skoah were all incredibly friendly, well-informed and helpful, and they took the time to email me after to thank me for stopping by. And the best part of the entire experience was that, unlike other spas where a 60 min facial costs upwards of $120 and doesn’t include any massages, the Facialiscious facial took over an hour and cost a mere $90! I can't say enough good things about this little Vancouver-based company and my experience at their Calgary location so anyone looking for a little RnR should check it out and give them some support… I know I can’t wait to go back!

"horrible service and sub par products"
by anne (from vancouver) January 2007 - Don't go! Service and products are not worth the price or your time. I went because I had a gift certificate. Was expecting a relaxing and enjoyable experience - but all I got was non-stop pressure sales. I also did not get any benefit from the facial - I can get the same "glow" by using quality products at home - not skoah!
