March 2008 - Not being a resident of BC, I am not familiar with Nando's. My travelling partner convinced me that we had to stop for lunch at this restaurant. I would have thought that it was just another fast food establishment but upon entering, this is definitely a step up from fast food. I looked through the menu and decided to order the Double Kebab with Peri fries. When ordering, you need to pick you level of hotness – lemon & herb, medium peri-peri, hot peri-peri and extra hot peri-peri. I like spicy food so I opted for hot and it did not disappoint. My meal was very tasty. After ordering, you find a table then your food is brought out to you which is a nice touch. Ordering take out food is also possible. Much to my delight I discovered there is a Nando's location in my home town of Calgary which I have visited several times since returning from BC. If you would like a quick, healthy chicken meal make sure you visit Nando's.
