by mike (from calgary) March 2008 - After a long day and a visit to a different very disappointing hotel, we were happy to arrive at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in North Vancouver. The cost per night was a bit higher than some other nearby hotels but it was worth the extra expense. It is easy to access this hotel from the main highway and the grounds around the building are pristine. Inside the hotel is also as impressive with a large lobby. Our room was big, clean and had comfortable queen sized beds. The bathroom was also large and clean. The indoor swimming pool and hot tub were also a treat. There is a popular night spot, Seymour's Pub, adjacent to the hotel and I was worried that the festivities may create a lot of noise at night time. Gladly we weren't bothered by any noise at all. You need to use your room key to use the elevators and I appreciated this extra safety measure. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

by David (from Orleans) March 2008 - We expected a lot of this rather expensive hotel and we were not disappointed. In a panic, we found a room after 10 o'clock on a Friday night during Spring Break. The entire hotel is non-smoking rooms.
Unfortunately, the only room available was set to serve handicapped clients. This meant that for safety reasons the bathtub was too shallow to enjoy a nice long soak after a tough day of traveling. However, the hot tub downstairs, located beside the fitness centre and the indoor swimming pool, provided the same relaxing, muscle-resting soak. While the tub was full of twenty-something males when we entered the pool area, they soon exited, leaving the tub for us (and the families with children that arrived at soon after).
Having noticed groups of teen-aged athletes and younger conventioneers in the lobby and elevators, I had been worried about the potential for noise. Happily, we experienced good nights rests and lots of quiet.
Tips: park behind the pool area and it will be a short walk through the doors to the elevators in the lobby. Exit the main doors, walk across the parking lot and you will find a small grocery store to your right. However, I found the vending machines in the hotel a good value.
