July 2008 - On a dreary day in Vancouver, we visited this fish hatchery hoping to see a few salmon in the ladders. The facility was organised pretty well and there was quite a lot of information about the types and life stages of salmon. The displays and info weren't overly exciting or top-notch, but given that the hatchery's main purpose is to breed and study the fish rather than offer a tourist information centre, it can't be criticised too much, especially as our visit was free. We only saw one salmon in the ladder so that was a little disappointing but I think that is pretty much a matter of luck and timing.
