July 2007 - I waited in anticipation for MONTHS for the new Lebanese place to open on Davie--literally; it was in the process so long I was sure it wasn't going to happen. When it finally did open I was thrilled; I used to cook for a Lebanese family restaurant and am always in bliss upon finding a new kibbi or tabouleh or kefta to savour. WOW, was I in for a shock!
Even though I am not Lebanese myself, when I worked in the setting I quickly picked up the terminology, could help with advice on what to try and what might not be for certain tastes, etc. The waitress I got had not idea of what she was serving and made it VERY obvious she didn't really care. It took me about three menu items to find one in stock, what I finally did order was tasteless and bland, the pita was dry and stale, and the bill was OUTRAGEOUS for the small portion and horrible quality.
There are SO many restaurants on Davie, including many fast-food type places, I honestly have no idea how this place is staying in business. Keep walking, people, it's not worth stopping in!

February 2007 - I took my girlfriend there for Valentines day, and boy oh boy, we were presented with the rudest server, as well as the most confusing pre-set menu for Valentines day.
Both of us dont drink alcohol, and me being middleeastern, ive been to my share of Lebanese restaurants. Mona's was truly a disgrace to lebanese cuisine. Lebanese people are known to be super sweet , and are known for their hospitality. We waited 1 hour and 50 mins for our food to come through, at which time we asked that we would like the food to go since we didnt want to spend more time at the place. We were given attitude because we didnt order drinks, and they got this guy to come in and play porn music in the background.
Food 1 hour 50 mins
The credit card bill took 10 mins
To go container took 15 mins
Cold appetizers, stale bread
Rude servers
Overall, I would never step back into that restaurant, it was possibly the worst valentine's day celebration, and I would like to thank Mona's for doing that for me.
