by Corbet (from Vancouver, BC) June 2007 - Ahh, the pleasures of Curry Point. This family-owned and operated restaurant has become my comfort food staple and it has never let me down. Located just off the corner of Cambie and Broadway, Curry Point offers delicious and fresh Indian favourites at unbeatable prices. For $7, you can reward yourself with a heaping dish of butter chicken and chickpeas, which also includes naan and a bottle of water. If you are lucky and arrive before the dinner crowd has depleted their stocks, the samosas are a great treat and can be swapped for the aqua. Don't get your hopes up though, as these tasty gems go fast. They serve up the food quickly (faster than any fast food restaurant) and all the food is displayed cafeteria style, so you can see what you want to eat before ordering. The staff is extremely courteous and always answer any questions about the various dishes. While the decor will not remind anyone of the Taj Mahal, this place is all about the food and the value. On a hot day, treat yourself to a mango lassi, you won't be disappointed.
