July 2007 - I frequent West Broadway and there are a myriad of Mexican burrito spots to tempt my palette. I thought I had tried them all but I had always bypassed Cilantro and Jalapeno. I decided to give them a shot and put another notch on my burrito belt. It was a wise move. The courteous staff answered all my pre-ordering questions and I settled on the Big Burrito with beef. The "big" burrito was exactly that, and was covered in mole sauce, cheese, lettuce, salsa and a cucumber slice. Since it was hotter than Tijuana outside, I washed it down with an authentic Mexican soda. They serve a variety of Mexican drinks and offer their salsa, guacamole, taquitos and much more in pre-packaged, take-out form. The restaurant doesn't feel very Mexican, they were pumping the local Top 40 radio station while I was there, and there is little in the way of ambience. However, if you are looking for a quick and fresh taste of Mexico this place is as good as any. Two sombreros up.
