September 2007 - The Pho #1 Vietnamese noodle place is on Denman near Comox right near English Bay in Vancouver. It's a good place to grab a quick bite when heading down to the beach to watch the sunset or just watch the people go by! A standard Vietnamese noodle house, the atmosphere is plain (although the front window has seating to people-watch as you are eating you steaming bowl of pho). The service here is always fast and the food is always tasty and hot and cheap; exactly why you come here.
My usual fav is #23, vermicelli noodles topped with BBQ pork and spring rolls. For under $10, it includes tea and a big bowl of food. Every time I have gone, however, my fellow diners have had success with the various dishes we have chosen and no one has ever had complaints.
If you still have room after, head just down the block to Cupcakes for a dessert or across to Delaney's for a coffee.
