"Tasty pub like food"
7.67
by Tanya (from Calgary)
July 2007 - We ate at the Cactus Club in Vancouver on trendy Robson Street on a typical Vancouver afternoon. It was raining and a little gloomy. The Cactus Club is quite a dark place but it was fitting for a rainy day. It was not busy when we were there but I imagine that on a weekend evening it can get a little crazy. The service was only ok at the Cactus Club. The server was friendly but we had to wait for awhile for drinks and for food even though it was not busy. The food was good though. We shared the cheese and spinach dip to start which was really good. It was a little different from the typical spinach dip as it had chicken and salsa in it. Very tasty! I had the spinach and artichoke quesadilla for my meal with a salad. It was made up of an interesting mix of ingredients and it was a little different and really good. I liked the food at the Cactus Club because although it is generally a typical pub like menu at first glance, the food items all have something a little different in them to make them interesting. I would reccomend Cactus Club for a casual but tasty dining experience.
