July 2007 - There is nothing that is disappointing about this restaurant. It sits on the second floor above Robson Street in Vancouver. The patio is fantastic on a summer day. The Savory Coast Cucina brings in fresh local seafood daily and uses local and organic produce as much as possible. Although the menu changes with the seasons, there is never a shortage of interesting and fantastic dishes to choose from. The service is attentive without being intrusive; the perfect combination. It is decorated simply and very tastefully.
There is a mushroom brushetta that is as interesting as it sounds. I had a simple angel hair pasta dish with prawns, cilantro and chillies. It was light for a pasta dish and just filled me up perfectly. There is a great wine selection and also seasonal desserts available. The prices are very reasonable for such a good restaurant. It is my favorite kind of place as they provide a relaxed atmosphere with the most delicious food possible. Whether it's for a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner, I would definitely reccommend going to Savoury Coast Cucina for a meal when in Vancouver.
