October 2007 - I must say we had awesome food experiences while in Vancouver for a week on holiday. With such great comparisons I guess Cafe Crepe would have to be slightly lower in the ranks, although it is still an appealing place that I would definately go back to. We popped into the larger Granville St. location one morning with hopes of big eggy breakfasts, and we found what we were looking for. Unfortunately the kitchen lost our order, which became apparent as everyone around us got theirs' even though they arrived later... but no big deal: it happens, they were busy, and we weren't really in a rush. A couple of free coffees later our brekkys arrived, my Eggs Benne was worth the wait but I wasn't so fussed on the hashbrowns - done a different way than I'm used to, the taste of oil was a little too strong. We went back another day, this time after dinner in search of something sweet. The dark chocolate pancake was divine but unfortunately they had run out of hot chocolate so I had to have coffee. Cafe Crepe seems to be quite a funky place with modern black and red decor and attracts a varied crowd. Just a pity about the tiny inconveniences.
