September 2006 - I have been dining at Kimberley's since this fine restaurant opened five years ago. I held my husband's 50th birthday celebration there as well as having had Kim cater events in my home. I always enjoy great food and excellent service in their wonderful atmosphere. Many of my friends have become "Kim Fans" over the years. My menu favorites (crab cakes, pistachio crusted halibut and rack of lamb just to name a few) are consistently mouth-watering. Chef Azim's talent for creating inventive specials keeps the menu fresh and exciting. Be sure to check out the specials when you go. We have many wonderful restaurants to choose from in the White Rock area, Kimberley's is definitely on the top of my list.

September 2006 - We were not impressed with the time we waited for our appetizers and yet alone main courses. We waited 60 minutes for our appetizers and 90 minutes for our main dishes. A total of 2 and a half hours, while others who arrived after us had ate and left. The excuse for why we had to wait so long was: The pork tenderloin I ordered I asked to be "well cooked" so it took longer. So I guess that is also why we had to wait so long for our appetizers, even the complimentry cold and hard bread? The staff were very rude and swearing very loudly in the back waitress area. We were expecting a friendly apology, or maybe a free appy, but instead a bill with no discount was thrown at us. We were not impressed. Kimberleys Gills & Grapes & waits. We did not enjoy our evening. We arrived thinking this restaurant would serve the food a little quicker, the atmosphere did not say "two hours fine dining" when we walked in. I had been planning on taking my employees there for our Christmas party, but after that evening I would never even think of bringing them there. The presentation of the food was well done, but the food wasn't anything extraordinary. Maybe you could improve on your friendliness, promptness, and courtesy towards your customers. We will not be returning.

September 2006 - We have been coming to "Gill's and Grapes" for the past five years. We find the food and ambience wonderful, so much so that we held our wedding reception there in 2003. The staff has always treated us with great courtesy and promptness and we look forward to every visit and always leave feeling completely satisfied.
