May 2008 - My experience at the Haven was exceptional. Situated alongside the Ocean, we had night after night of beautiful sunsets. The rooms were clean and cozy. The lodge and all their staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. I truly felt welcomed. I was with several others from around the province participating in a transformational week-long dance workshop.
The workshop space was suitable for our needs. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. There is an outdoor pool which was oh so lovely to take a dip in during the hot summer days. And in the evenings we soothed our muscles in the hot tub overlooking the Ocean. Throughout the Haven grounds there are many different private and semi-private places to sit amongst the beauty: Reclining wooden chairs with various views of the Ocean, benches tucked amongst the well-tended gardens, tables on the deck outside the lodge. It was easy to find comfortable places to write or simply sit amongst the trees and lilacs for a little while. I would recommend the Haven as a great place to stay for those attending a workshop, as well as those interested in creating their own retreat.
