May 2008 - During a week-long workshop and retreat, were nourished by the amazing buffets served each breakfast, lunch and dinner. They served a wide variety of foods at each meal, so there were always plenty of choices, even for those with restricted diets. I was so impressed by all the options that the cooks provided us with. Lunch and suppers always had a fresh salad bar with a wide array of veggies, seeds and dressings to choose from. The table with hot food would be of a particular theme; one night being Italian, another Greek. There were both meat and vegetarian options. And they were tasty and fresh. Though we had over 21 consecutive meals there, we never tired of them. The cooks were also very accommodating to those guests who had specific dietary needs. (They were notified in advance). The desserts were pretty special as well. My favorite was a rhubarb crumble with homemade whipped cream. Yummm! It was so nice to enjoy each meal inside the old-fashioned restaurant or on the deck with a view of the Ocean and chances to mingle with some of the other guests and visitors. I'd recommend the Haven as a place to feast in their delicious buffet, and then linger outdoors as the sun goes down into the great blue ocean.
