| "Expensive but the Food is Good" |

May 2008 - The Caramba Restaurante was recommended to us by a hostess at the first restaurant we tried to get into. It was a very busy weekend in Whistler and we found it difficult to get into restaurants. When we got to Caramba there were able to take us in right away. It is a large restaurant and was about half full. The waitress was very friendly and provided great service for the time we were there. We had some difficulty finding something on the menu to suit our daughters. Everything was either way too expensive or not something that they found appealing. They settled on spaghetti and meatballs and macaroni and cheese. I shared calamari and a butter lettuce salad with my husband. The spaghetti and the mac and cheese were very very good. The portions were small and the price was a little high though. Our salad was a disappointment, not much to it but lettuce and the calamari was overcooked and tough. I doubt very much that we would go there again. It was just too expensive for a family dinner and there are many other places to choose from if you plan ahead.
