December 2007 - Walking into The Swiss Bear at Big White ski resort might make you want to turn around and leave but if you fight your instincts you will be pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is large and open with tables that appear to be randomly dispersed. The ambiance is only made worse by the bad lighting. As soon as you sit down though, you are approached by genuinely friendly and courteous service. The food portions are quite large, large enough that you need a good appetite to finish all your food. The menu is small but there are a variety of healthier options rather than just burgers such as wraps. I tried both the steak and the chicken wrap and found them both to be delicious, although the steak was a little tough. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who is skiing with minors as they have a kids menu and full bar for the adults.
