August 2008 - We originally booked a room with a kitchenette but when we arrived the room smelled terrible. I went back to the front desk to report the odor and she gave me the opportunity to try a second room. I entered this room and there was pet hair on the floor and the odor was only slightly improved. I went back to the desk and told them my husband was allergic to pets and asked if there was a room that was pet free. I investigated a third room and there was no smell. We stayed our four nights. The carpet was particularly dirty but the beds and bathrooms were clean.
We enjoyed the outdoor pool and the hotel staff (both office and house keeping) was friendly and helpful.

August 2008 - If your missing the 70's this place is for you, we stepped in and ran out! Smoke alarm hanging from ceiling, everything in sight was broken, burned, chipped or stained. Just drive on by people.

September 2007 - This hotel is in dire need of major repair. The outdoor upper walkways were sagging and the main floor walkways were sinking and looked pretty scary. There were silverfish in the bathroom, the baseboard was coming off in the bedroom, we requested a non-smoking room and were given a smoking room and had to move, and the phone service was not connected in the room. When we finally got the non-smoking room, it had 2 double beds, not a queen as we had reserved. The best part of the room was the view, however we definitely did not get our money's worth and will not stay at this particular Howard Johnson's hotel again.
