| "The Best Greek food outside of Greece" |

by Tanya (from Calgary) August 2007 - Even though we went to this relatively small restaurant with a group of 24 people, the staff at Christo's Greek Restaurant were happy to not only accomodate us but to provide us with fabulous service. They even put the tables in a large horseshoe shape so that everyone was able to chat together. They warned us ahead of time that the service would be slow as they make all the food fresh right there to order and they have a small kitchen. Although this was fine with us, we appreciated the warning. I think Christo's served some of the best Greek food that I have ever had. We started with saganaki that we shared between 5 of us so as to not spoil our main course. It was fantastic and although I am glad we split it, I could have happily ate it all. Me and a friend shared a platter for the main course which consisted of primarily vegetarian dishes and some seafood. They served us Greek salad to start and then brought out the platter. It was so much food! We had prawns, calamari, spanakapita, rice, potatoes and pita bread and tzatziki. It was all so good but there was no way we could finish it all. The tzatziki was so garlicy that I was still tasting it the next morning. The food was simply amazing. I would recommend Christo's to anyone who loves good Greek food.

| "Good and Garlic-y" |

by Lauren (from Calgary) August 2007 - On a recent visit to Kamloops for a soccer tournament, our group stayed in the Hospitality Inn and Christos is located right in the parking lot. All of the other guests we spoke to raved about this restaurant, so on our final night we decided to give it a try. We had a group of easily 30 or 40 people and they were prepared for us.
First of all, I thought that the service was excellent! Our main server was new but was very knowledgable about the menu and was happy to find out the answer to any questions she couldn't answer. She was very friendly and patient with our massive group. As far as I know, all of the orders were correct and considering how much food they had to prepare, everything came in a reasonable amount of time.
The restauarant interior is cute, with all of the typical blue and white Greek restaurant touches, plus lots of pictures of gorgious Grecian islands. The view was quite nice as well, as the restaurant overlooks the town of Kamloops in the valley below.
Finally, the food was amazing! Very, very garlicy (I definitely don't recommend this place if you're doing anything in the next day or so where it wouldn't be OK to ooze garlic-smell out of your pores) but delicious. The portions were massive and all main meals came with sides of Greek salad AND potatos AND rice AND, if memory serves, pita. I shared an order of Saganaki (friend cheese) with a friend and it was everything fried cheese should be. For my main course, I got a sauteed prawns dish and they had lots of flavour. All of the sides were very good as well.
We had a great trip and Christos was defintely a highlight.
