August 2007 - The Recreation Inn was a nice place to stay. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. The property is a little dated but the beautiful grounds easily made the difference! Would stay again.

July 2007 - After spending a couple nights camping in Fintry Provincial Park, we decided to stay at a local hotel in Kelowna. The customer service was very friendly and helpful. This was a last minute reservation and they were able to accommodate us very well. The hotel was a small complex with a miniature pool behind the front office building. Access to your rooms was very easy yet the parking spots are very cramped. The rooms were not too big but had the basic needs for one night such as a bed, a phone, TV with local cable, a miniature fridge, air conditioning, a desk and a very small shower. The room had a comfortable feel yet had that funny hotel smell. And you could hear your neighbours very easily. Outside of the rooms beside the pool was a strip of grass with BBQs where one could go and BBQ whatever they desire for free. The hotel offered a free breakfast in the morning but I would consider it a snack. It consisted of a small Dixie cup of coffee, an apple, and a choice of cinnamon bun or biscuit. Considering it was free, who am I to complain. The overall cost for the room in my opinion was way too overpriced. Only if you desperately need a hotel, this one is the answer for you.

July 2007 - I stayed at this hotel for two nights during the summer. It was a very last minute choice and we needed a place to stay so we couldn't be picky. The room was small and very simple. There was a coffee maker, a mini fridge, air conditioning and the basic amenities but I feel it was very overpriced for what it offered. I probably wouldn't stay here again for that reason. But at least it was clean. So if you're planning a stay in Kelowna, I highly recommend you call around before settling on a hotel.
