May 2007 - As far as Earls go, I doubt there is one in Canada that can offer similar picturesque views as the Earls on Top in Kelowna. It is truly located in one of the most ideal spots a restaurateur could imagine. Aside from the view, however, this restaurant is nothing more than every other cookie cutter Earls. The service was painfully slow and our server was woefully disengaged. The restaurant was also incredibly noisy, making it hard to have a meaningful conversation. The food was average, with an unimaginative menu and taste that usually accompanies meals prepared by 19-year-old line cooks (which, judging by the kitchen staff, was exactly who prepared the meal). If you are someone who loves Earls and prefers familiarity to something new, you will probably have no major complaints with Earls on Top. However, I find it hard to justify a meal here due simply to the wealth of other, more creative restaurants located throughout the Kelowna valley. There are so many better places to eat, give them a chance.
