August 2007 - After seeing how nice Kelowna is, I decided to go back during the August long weekend. Unfortunately this time around, I ended up arriving at Kelowna very late at night. After the 7 to 8 hour drive, me and my comrade were really hungry. Everything at that hour was closed. The only food place we saw that was open was the Breadeaux Pizza. It was a small corner pizza joint with no traffic at all. We went in there and it had that sensation like I was walking into a Little Caesar’s. The server behind the till was a young teenage kid who was stuck working the late shift. We ordered a pineapple chicken pizza and the server told us it’d be ready in half an hour. We came back ten minutes earlier and to our surprise, the pizza was ready and waiting for us. Although the pizza looked undercooked, it tasted good. It was the small quick service that hit the spot after a long drive.
