October 2007 - Now I know that White Spot is not much of a hit in Alberta but I grew up in BC and it was a childhood favorite. The food almost tastes like it's from someones home kitchen and they know how to feed kids (remember the pirate packs?). On a recent trip home to Kelowna, I went for breakfast at the White Spot I frequented as a child. It has been redone and updated with a full lounge side now. They have decorated the place with local nature pictures which look great.
I have always liked the food at White Spot. I had a veggie omlette this time and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect size (none of those 5 egg omlettes) and was packed full of veggies. My only complaint would be that it had too many green peppers. It came with hashbrowns and toast. I normally cannot finish breakfasts that I order in restaurants as I find them too big but this was a great size and I polished it off.
Going to Kelowna's White Spot brought back lots of memories for me. It's a good family restaurant with homestyle cooking no matter what age you are.
