July 2007 - Turtle Bay Pub is a great casual place to hang out for a few drinks or a meal if you are in Lake Country. It sits right on Woods Lake and has a marina where you can also rent jet skis and boats. The outdoor patio is good although on there are summer days it is not big enough and it fills up fast. Inside it is a classic pub with high ceilings and there is a pool table for entertainment.
Turtle Bay has great typical pub food. They have amazing potato criss cross fries that are served like nachos with cheese, tomatos, green onions and a fantastic honey mustard dipping sauce. The clubhouse sandwich is good (I ordered it without bacon) although I had to ask for extra mayo as it was a little dry. Ordering one of their pizzas is always a good choice.
We managed to get a seat right by the lake on the patio in the early evening. As we sat enjoying our pints after our meal, a couple of turtles actually swam by the dock right beside our table. This especially added to the experience of being at Turtle Bay Pub!
