| "Great for a family holiday" |

July 2007 - We arrived at 7.00 pm without a reservation in July, not a smart thing to do so we had to pitch our tent in the overflow area, but this was still on a flat and comfortable square of grass. It certainly would not be feasible to just turn up if you’re out for a family vacation and it seemed like the majority of campers were there for this reason. The campground has a fantastic location right on the shores of the Okanagan lake and a very green setting with fruit trees providing shade and privacy. It has a beautiful view of sunrise as the sun comes up behind the hills on the far side of the lake, if you’re up in time.
Peace and quiet are not too much in evidence here, it is a bustle of activity during the day with amazing facilities for kids, that I didn’t know existed in campgrounds. From a swimming pool to playgrounds to horseshoes, basketball, volleyball and badminton! The washrooms were clean and the showers included in the price, which was not cheap for us but reflected all the wonderful facilities for families. We did not have kids with us so stayed only one night. If you’re looking for a great location, and a family friendly environment, this is a great place to ensure your kids are entertained through play with other kids and the facilities around them. But I would book ahead of time to get the choice of sites and dates.
