May 2008 - My family and I reserved a site via the internet for Friday May 16 through the may long weekend leaving on Monday May19. Since we were coming from Chilliwack I emailed back once I received the confirmation of the reservation. We were not going to make the 9pm check in time. The email was not very nice. I have attached it below:
We do not have lights here in the campground, and we do not allow manoeuvring into the sites in the dark. Our reception opens at 9:00am so you can check-in anytime after that.

We might have a bit of a problem we are leaving Chilliwack at 7pm Friday the 16th so if we can't check in that night how early will you take us in the morning. I think it will take us approx 3 hours to get there. I was thinking late check in would be 11pm like all the other camp grounds. Do you have any suggestions. Our friends will arrive earlier but I work till 6 and then have half hour home we might make it before 10 but no chance before 9.
Since we had gone to a dirt bike race and couldn't get to the camp ground before we had to check in we never arrived until 5pm on May 17. Our friends were back to their site around 4pm. When we arrived they had given our site to another party. Who had not checked in yet and had never been to the camp ground. Instead of letting us checking they made us go into another site away from our friends. I believe that this whole review could have been avoided if Lynn the manager had some public relation skills. I worked at a camp ground for 4 years and have had to deal with un-happy customers. She was rude and basically said if you want a refund I can give it to you. There was no way with two little kids we were going to head out WHERE on a May long weekend to look for something else when out friends were there and already set up. Based on the lack of PR skills I would not recommend this camp ground to anyone else. The area and facilities were great. It was just a bad experience.
