| "Beautiful Place In the Bay" |
by Deb (from Victoria, BC) March 2008 - The building is spectacular and nestled at the end of a road near a small ferry terminal in Brentwood Bay. Not far away is the legendary Butchart Gardens. This building is fairly new and sits low on the banks of the bay. In the corner of the pub is a large fireplace. The ceiling is very high and there is a second loft-style seating area. A small marina is located just off the large deck. The setting is very pretty. The pub is very large and was quite busy. The menus offers the usual pub food, but includes thin crust pizzas and some interesting sounding appetizers. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and my friends order a halibut burger and the omelet special (which is served all day on the weekends). The quesadilla came just the way I like it - grilled crispy. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't much inside the quesadilla but it was good. My friends both enjoyed their meals. The halibut burger was quite large and was grilled not fried. The omelet was served with fried tomatoes and home made bread. Being a pub this isn't a family setting, but I would definitely like to go back.
