| "Nice little museum" |

July 2008 - We stumbled upon this little maritime museum when we stopped at Cowichan Bay for lunch and ended up eating right next to it. The museum features a long, picturesque pier with several original buildings along it, the main one of which houses a boat-building shop. Exhibits included historic boats and parts, a children's build-it section and an impressive collection of miniature models built by a Cow Bay local. The best part of the centre was just being able to amble along the pier - there was no entrance, no fee, etc, just a donations-accepted box - so it was a wonderful little excursion that we otherwise would have missed.
