July 2007 - My Saskatchewan based, brother and his wife came to visit me this summer in Nanaimo. I was looking for a holiday experience that would provide them with a unique Vancouver Island memory. An afternoon sail seemed to fit the bill. With this in mind...and on very short notice, I contacted locally based, Gilligan's Sailing Charters. A sailing trip around the small islands in the Nanaimo Harbour was quickly arranged for the next day. A delightful lunch at the Nanaimo Harbour floating pub was included in the trip. The prairie land lubbers and myself loved it!!!
