April 2008 - On a beautiful midday in Nanaimo lately my friend invited us to try the MGM restaurant. We are new to the city, so we jumped at the chance to eat where the locals eat. It’s located in the south section of town but easy to find. On entering the restaurant we were surprised at how big the place is and how very busy it was, although we were seated with no waiting at all. There were many groups of local folk there, but we were able to get a booth by the window. Our server seemed to be rushed, which was understandable, but she was very friendly. This is a breakfast all day establishment and they also have a huge menu to choose from. The three of us ordered breakfast dishes. We were all pleased with our choices as the eggs were done to perfection and as we asked. The bacon and ham were delicious and our toast selections were perfect.
We will be back to try dinner,
