April 2008 - While visiting family in Nanaimo, we decided to have dinner at the White Spot Restaurant. We went to the location in North Nanaimo near the Wood Grove Shopping Centre. It was fairly late in the evening but this place was still quite busy. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for our table but the indoor waterfall wall helped keep my four year old entertained during the wait. The inside of the restaurant was warm, inviting and clean. The large menu has lots of items to select from. I opted for Canada AAA New York Steak with seasonal vegetables and sweet potato fries instead of mashed potatoes. The entire meal was very delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. My daughter had the Pirate Pak with crispy chicken pieces and french fries. She especially enjoyed the pirate ship shaped box that her meal arrived in. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

April 2008 - After our recent move to beautiful Nanaimo, we went looking for a White Spot restaurant. We have always been pleased with their service and delicious food. Well we were not disappointed at all. It was easy to find and there was only a short wait until we were seated by a very friendly and helpful server. It’s a large but cozy feeling restaurant. This is a family friendly and also great spot for groups, such as birthday parties.
My dining partner chose their famous and classic beef dip with an order of sweet potatoe fries. The side of Cole slaw was very creamy but light. He sure enjoyed it all and said it was a 10 on his chart. I ordered from the appetizer portion of their varied menu. Their chicken strips were tender and tasty and the freshly made breaded zucchini sticks were mouth watering delicious.
We are so glad to have found this White Spot and we will return very soon again
