May 2008 - After many drives along Rutherford Road in Nanaimo we finally decided to stop at the Tea House for lunch. What a lovely spot and there are two other quaint shops to browse in before or after your meal. They do serve breakfast as well as lunch and the tea selection was the best and longest I’ve ever seen. We opted to try their two soups of the day. My dining partner had the vegetable soup with a freshly made cheese scone. He said the soup was hearty and plump full of vegetables and very delicious. I had ordered the cream of broccoli and carrot soup, which tasted out of the world. What a wonderful blend of vegetables and it was so rich and filling. The hot out of the oven scone was so yummy. We had a pot of green tea between us and a mouth watering cinnamon bun for dessert. A perfect topping to our lunch.
