| "Great Find for Lunch" |

June 2008 - On a day that we were out to see the sights of downtown Nanaimo, we came across a lunch spot called The Vault. The building is a historical sight and it was built as a bank in the early 1900’s. When you step in the door it is like a step into history. It’s wonderful with its very high ceiling and old fashioned mouldings and beams. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and helped us with our selection. It was early afternoon so it wasn’t crowded but they told us it’s extremely busy at the noon hour so it’s a good idea to come early for a seat. We decided to try the baked on sight lasagne and a ham and cheese quiche. Wow, what a lot of fantastic tasting food we got. We tasted each other’s and still had enough to take home for a snack later. The coffee was hot and fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back again to The Vault.
