"a nice resort"

August 2008 - We stayed at this resort using our RCI points during our summer holiday to Vancouver Island. When we drove up to the resort we were very impressed with it as it looked quite new and inviting. After checking in, we toured around the facilities to see that it offered quite a very amenities including a pool, 2 hot tubs, restaurant and of course fantastic scenery with walking paths around the property. The room was very clean with one bed and a little sitting area, fire place and fridge with some basic dishes and a coffee pot. It would have been nice to have a microwave to complete the partial kitchen, but we certainly got by without one. There was also a jetted tub in the bathroom, however we did not make use of it. We found the pool to be a bit cold for our liking as we tried to take our 1 year old swimming but it was too chilly for her. We enjoyed this resort very much. My only complaint was that there wasn’t a wireless internet connection from our room, only in the lobby. The staff however told us that they were working on this. Overall a nice resort.

"Beautiful Scenery!"

August 2008 - We had booked this through our RCI points program, and when we arrived we were very impressed with atmosphere of the lobby. We checked in and moved on to our underground parking spot. With a 14 month old and a Minivan full of stuff, we looked for a trolley to help us up the elevator and to our room. Not one could be found, so we did a light load to the room, and I went to the lobby to track a trolley down.I don’t expect a lot, but having somebody collect the two trolleys available once in a while, that other customers leave anywhere on one of the 3 levels, and returning them to the parking lot wouldn’t be that difficult to set up. The onsite restaurant had an aquarium you could walk under which connected two huge cylinders, very cool. There was a WIFI point in the lobby. A convenience store was downstairs. I would stay here again as the surroundings and setting on the ocean was great.

"Beautiful Resort"

July 2007 - On our trip to Vancouver Island we decided to stay at this resort for a couple of days. This is located in a beautiful spot on the water in amongst huge trees and just a short drive north of Nanaimo. It was somewhat difficult to find off the highway but it was well worth it when we finally arrived. Our room was spacious with a queen bed with lots of pillows and a wonderful duvet. There was also a sofa bed. We had a small kitchen area that suited us quite well and we also had a washer and dryer right off the huge gleaming bathroom. There was a private balcony off the living area but we did not have a view. Once we went out for a walk around the resort, the views were spectacular. Every where you looked was breath taking. The walking trail was well marked and it was great to be able to stretch our legs.
The pool in the resort was large and had lots of friendly staff to help and direct as there is also a spa and exercise area. This is a beautiful spot to relax.
