"WONDERFUL!"

August 2008 - This restaurant is fantastic! My husband and I wanted to treat ourselves to a crab dinner while we were on the island and this restaurant came as a recommendation from someone at our hotel. The food was great!! We shared a crab dinner for two. It was huge. The fish items included were 2 full crabs, prawns, salmon, and a white fish of some sort. The meal also came with bread, potatoes and salad. It was so good. All of the fish was amazing and cooked just right. The crab was definitely the highlight for me as we each cracked, dipped (in butter) and indulged on our own crab. The atmosphere at this restaurant is kind of like a cabin and the waitress that we had was very nice and friendly. We took our 1 year old daughter to this restaurant and although we did not order off of the menu for her, the atmosphere was certainly fine for having her with us. I will definitely make a point of visiting this restaurant again when I am on the island next time. It was great!

"Seafood Feast!"

August 2008 - We were out to treat ourselves to a good fresh crab dinner. We were recommended this place from a local who worked at our hotel. To our surprise there was a Lobster feast for two which sounded great but no crab feast for two. The chef responded with a no hassle, no problemo swap the lobster for crab and the meal was set. When the friendly waitress brought our meal, the crabs were huge! The plate consisted of 2 massive dungeness crab, 3 different kinds of fish, rice, with an appetizer of scallops which we ordered first. As soon as we were seated, we were waited on promptly with a plate if fresh buns and butter. If you are out for a treat, and want fresh seafood, don’t hesitate about Kalvas. Be prepared to spend around $60 - $70 a plate which included some wine and an appetizer. I thought this was very reasonable for the selection of fresh seafood we got to sample and eat
