| "White Spot is the Right Spot" |

February 2008 - I was recently on a quick trip to Vancouver Island and decided to have dinner at this White Spot location with my mother- and father-in-law. To start I tried the sweet potato fries. The chipotle mayo dipping sauce was nice and spicy. For the main course I had the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. This rice bowl was tasty, very filling and had a good portion of chicken.
The atmosphere was typical of any White Spot location but it was very clean. This location is conveniently located just off the main highway between Sydney and Victoria. I was staying at a hotel across the parking lot so this restaurant was convenient for us to visit.
I found the prices were average for the portions received. The servers at this location were friendly but all in all the service was a bit slow. I did enjoy the atmosphere and food so I would dine here again.

November 2007 - While on a recent holiday to Vancouver Island we found ourselves staying at a motel next door to The White Spot on Hwy17 just south of Sidney. What a lovely find for us. It was close to the dinner hour but we were seated quite quickly by a very friendly hostess. The coffee was fresh and hot and a great start to a fabulous meal time for us. My dining partner ordered the Beef Dip that seems to be a big favorite with nearby customers. He was also very pleased to see sweet potato fries on his plate. The beef was heaped onto a Panini and it was tender and delicious. I ordered from their Health Check portion of the menu and I was not disappointed at all in my choice. The char grilled chicken burger was tender and done to perfection and the salad was delightful with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing to top it off.
There were lots of locals being greeted by the staff and we can see why folks return here because we certainly will.
