| "First Visit But Not Our Last" |

August 2007 - In August my wife and I were given a two night getaway at the Best Western Tin Wis just outside of Tofino, BC. When we arrived to check in the staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The lobby was well kept but not too fancy. When we arrived in our room we were a little disappointed as it was really just a normal hotel room (with a little fireplace). Then we proceeded to the end of the room and opened the curtains to the patio doors and soon realized we weren't there for the room... we were there for the view! Our room looked over a large grass area that immediately turned into the beautiful sand beach... and then ocean. The hotel is on a bay where the water is calm and the beach isn't too busy. The grounds around the hotel were peaceful and you could hear the ocean waves. The view of the sunset from our room was amazing too. The property, rooms and facilities were very clean. The price of the rooms seemed high although in comparison to other rates in the Tofino area, the price was actually quite reasonable for what we had. We also ate breakfast at the restaurant on the property. The food wasn't anything fancy yet the prices seem a little high for what we ordered.
Overall, the Best Western Tin Wis is a place to visit and we will be going back again.
