March 2008 - The Rainforest Beach Lodge is an absolute haven!
It is located in Uclulet, Bc, about 20 minutes from Tofino.
For a small family gathering, we rented a cabin with a view of the Ocean. The entire Lodge is newly built and the cabin was luxurious, more like a gorgeous home than a cabin. The cabin was nestled amongst tall trees and ferns and reached by a boardwalk pathway and stairs. It felt very private. The cabin is new and feels very fresh. Hardwood floors, kitchenette, 2 bedrooms and lots of windows. It was a bright, beautiful small home furnished with all that we'd need. It was spacious and simple enough to remind us that nothing has to be done but to relax and enjoy our time.
The owner, was very welcoming, making sure we had all that we needed. He fixed the fireplace when the pilot lite went out and brought us flashlights on a particularly stormy night. We were invited to utilize that common space in the lodge, however, we were so content spending time out at the Ocean and in our cabin that we didn't have time to check out all the lodge facilities.
I have already recommended The Rain Forest Beach Lodge to others planning on making a trip to Uclulet. I would love to spend time there again. It was beautiful and the rates are comparable to many places in Uclulet.
