August 2007 - During a day trip to Ucluelet, my wife and I were looking for a place to have some munchies and a drink. Someone recommended the Quarterdeck Lounge at the Canadian Princess Resort for the best nachos. We walked onto the boat that is permanently parked in a small ocean bay and decided to sit on the outside deck as it was a sunny day. The service was a little slow but the nachos were great. The prices were all reasonable. The best part of the afternoon was watching the fishing boats come back from their morning fishing tours. The boats docked just below us alongside the large Canadian Princess boat and all tourist fishermen got off. Then the crew of each boat proceeded to sort through all of the fish that were caught on their trip. The fish were huge! This did include some cleaning, be-heading and gutting of fish so this might not be the best place to dine for those with a weak stomach. We found it very interesting and a relaxing place to spend the afternoon in the outdoors.
