July 2008 - Wow, who knew! We LOVED our experiece at the Bug Zoo. We followed along on a tour and really enjoyed the hands-on. Holding the bugs was fun! It is not a big space but they are bugs...not elephants. It is an unsual zoo and a unique experience. Great for all ages (not just kids)! Compared to some of the places in Victoria it is really great value!

May 2008 - The Victoria Bug Zoo is an interesting place. The first thing you'll notice is that it is quite small. Unlike animals, insects don't require a lot of space, so don't expect sprawling grounds with wide open spaces etc. Basically, it's a big room, painted in 1970's colours, and divided in two sections.
The Good:
- The assortment of bugs is great. Lots of spiders, stick bugs etc.
- The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable
- With staff assistance, you can hold some of the bugs
The Not-so-Good:
- Like I mentioned before, the "zoo" is very small. There is not a lot of room to move around, and small kids will get bored in no time.
- It's a bit pricey
- Not enough interactive exhibits, things to play with...
