May 2007 - McMorran's has been a restaurant for a long time and has a reputation that has well established it as a desitnation for a special occasion. It was established back in the days when families travelled from Victoria town centre to spend a day or a few nights at the beach. In the stairway are photos of the area from the early 1900s and interesting notes about the family and Cordova Bay. McMorran's overlooks Cordova Bay beach offering a restful view of the Gulf Islands. Generally the waves are gentle and you can watch the ducks and herons on the water. There is outside seating for those hot days or you can enjoy your meal inside. The restaurant features large windows so no matter where you are seated you can look out over the ocean. The serving staff are very friendly and patient and the food is consistently good. This is a good place to bring the family or meet a large group of people for dinner.
