August 2007 - This Chinese restaurant was so cheap! Three of us ate dinner for two nights for less than $30.00. We ordered a combination meal for 3 which included spring rolls, ginger beef, chicken chow mein, mixed vegetables, sweet & sour pork and pork fried rice. The food came to about $23.00 (before taxes) and then we got an additional 10% off because we picked our food up. We couldn’t believe how much food we got for so little money. Unfortunately it wasn’t that great. The chow mein was not very good at all. It tasted very bland and the texture was rubbery. Everything else was just average. It reminded me of the kind of food you get at the mall, but for that price what can you expect? When we picked up our food we noticed it was very busy inside and it boasts the biggest Chinese buffet in Victoria, so people obviously like it, but I wasn’t too impressed with the food. We felt we got our money’s worth, but I’ll definitely try another Chinese restaurant next time.
