September 2007 - We had some guests stay with us from out of town and they wanted to take us to a nice restaurant to show their thanks. Chandlers does a very good job of advertising themselves to tourists so our guests wanted to take us there. Thankfully we had made reservations because it was very busy. Unfortunately we were placed right beside the door so we felt a huge draft every time the door was opened, but other than that we were happy. The service was great and the food was really good. I had the Sweet Pepper Salmon with a baked potato and asparagus. The salmon was delicious, the baked potato was average and the asparagus was definitely nothing special. Everyone else at the table was really happy with their selections, especially my husband who had the cod with shrimp. He thought the sauce was absolutely delicious. Then my husband and I shared a piece of tuxedo truffle cake for dessert. It was the yummiest cake I’ve ever had! I would go back just for dessert! The prices were pretty steep ($23 for the salmon, which wouldn’t be so bad if the side dishes were tastier). But I think I would go back again for a special occasion. I would recommend Chandlers - it’s got a very nice atmosphere inside and the service and food was really good.
