November 2007 - This neighbourhood pub is the closest one to our house and we went there for the first time last night for dinner. We’ve driven by it many times and noticed they have roast beef dinner as a Sunday night special. I’m sorry we’ve passed it up so many times before. It was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced at just under $10. It comes with a heaping helping of sliced roast beef which is the most tasty, tender roast beef I’ve ever had. It also comes with seasonal veggies (which was yams and zucchini last night) and roasted potatoes. It was fantastic! The service was great also. They had a lot of other different items on their menu too, mostly regular pub food, but they have a special for every day of the week, like the roast beef on Sundays and 2 for 1 wings on Thursdays. So we’ll definitely be back, especially because it’s in our neighbourhood and within walking distance. Because of course we had to order a couple of beers too. I had the Monkey Tree Lager, which was a nice, light, tasty beer. There were a lot of people there and I got the impression a lot of them are regulars, especially on Sundays since most people were being served the roast beef. It’s a fantastic deal and I can’t wait to go back and try something else on their menu.
