"Very Popular Spot"

December 2007 - This little Chinese food restaurant is hard to find unless you know where you are going. It is located in a small strip mall on Shelbourne Street and the signage is not very conspicuous. It came highly recommended so I had to try it out. It is a very small place with about 10 tables. At lunch time it is very popular with local workers. They line up at the door and wait for a seat at any table. The menu is on the wall and offers a variety of about 10 dishes plus daily specials. Most people appeared to be regulars and knew what they wanted. My friend and I took a few minutes looking over the wall menu before deciding. The waitress had been over to take our order three times while we thought about it which was a surprise given how packed the place was. Once we ordered we were served tea in a clear glass. It was too hot to hold so we had to wait a bit for a sip and before the tea was cool, our food came. I ordered black bean chicken on rice. My friend order a shrimp bowl - curry shrimp on rice. It was good and the portion was a good size. The price was very good as well. This isn't a place to sit and chat with a friend especially if you come at the peak lunch period. They want to turnover the seating quickly and have no shortage of people waiting. Seating is very close so this is not a good place for a private chat. But it is good food, quickly served at a very decent price. If you need a quick lunch and like Chinese food - I would recommend Lin Heung's.
