April 2008 - My wife and I recently stayed at the Super 8 Motel in Portage la Prairie and as in other Super 8's we've stayed at, this one was very impressive. It was very clean everywhere, our room was very spacious and comfortable. The service was "down-home" style friendly. The continental breakfast had some varied choices and all was good. The price for the room was quite reasonable given the quality of the accommodations. Thank you again Super 8.

December 2007 - Christmas evening in a Super 8 Motel in Portage La Prairie? On our way back to Saskatchewan, we decided to overnight in Super 8 Motel Portage La Prairie with our son and his family (two young boys under 5). It is conveniently located close to the west end of town near the exit to the TransCanada Highway west.
Both rooms had twin queen-sized beds, a mini fridge, a microwave and a coffeemaker. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, swimming pool and water slide. The pool area was very clean as were the lounge chairs. Towels were available at the front desk next to the pool area.
After a good night's sleep, we wandered to the dining lounge for a good breakfast (toast, muffins, cereals, juice, coffee, tea and milk) and a complimentary newspaper. On the way, we were cheerfully greeted by the cleaning staff and front desk staff.
The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful making hecking out quick and easy.
While we didn't mind, be aware that the motel allows pets. We noticed them only the next morning as people were checking out. No evidence of a pet was found in our rooms or other areas, or any noise heard the previous evening.
Overall, a fun stay that will be repeated in the near future.
