June 2006 - This hotel was nice enough and the attached restaurant and liqour store were very convenient. The owner/manager however is, however, rude enough to ruin your stay. He tried to kick us out for watching a hockey game in one of our two rooms saying we could'nt have more than 4 people in the room. He even called the RCMP down to get us out but they told him to calm down and that we weren't in the wrong. I read an article in the Winnipeg Free Press about the owner complaining about how much money the no-alcohal policies cost him, yet when we were there he was certainly not supporting any atmosphere that would suggest he supported a non-"dry" weekend. To sum it up, I'm not hard to please, but the owner/manager easily managed to ruin my experience.
